Job Description

Oso Home Care, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician – Refill to join our specialty home infusion pharmacy team.

We are looking for an energetic, organized, customer-focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This position will primarily support the refill process for home infusion patients, including coordinating medication and supply refills, communicating with patients and healthcare providers, and working closely with pharmacy, nursing, authorization, reimbursement, and other internal teams to help ensure continuity of patient care.

Previous home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or specialty medication experience is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.

Job Duties

• Coordinate and process prescription and refill requests for home infusion patients.
• Review refill and prescription information for completeness and accuracy.
• Contact patients and/or caregivers to coordinate medication and supply refills and confirm ongoing therapy needs.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions, refill requests, therapy updates, and required documentation.
• Work closely with authorization, benefits, reimbursement, intake, nursing, and pharmacy teams to help resolve issues that may delay patient therapy.
• Assist with obtaining updated prescriptions and required documentation from physician offices.
• Accurately document patient communications, refill activity, and follow-up information in pharmacy systems.
• Identify refill issues and escalate clinical, authorization, insurance, or prescription concerns to the appropriate team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients, caregivers, physician offices, and other healthcare partners.
• Perform additional pharmacy technician duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active California Pharmacy Technician license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on time-sensitive patient needs.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and computer systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or specialty medication experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
