Neonatology Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Neonatology in New York.

• Shift: 12 and 24-hour shifts

• Patient Population: Neonates
• Setting: NICU Level III
• Responsibilities:
  • Providing coverage for a 16-bed NICU unit
  • Attending C-sections and covering the Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery
  • Supervising RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff
  • Managing 8-9 patients per day
  • Handling neonatal procedures, including ventilation management, central/arterial line insertions, and diagnostic taps
• Required Procedures:
  • Nursery Level III/NICU
  • Ventilation Management (ETT, BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Chest Tube Insertion
  • Exchange Transfusions
  • UAC/UVC Placement
  • Lumbar Punctures
  • Insertion of Central and Arterial Lines
  • Evaluation & Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues
• EMR System: EPIC
• Support Staff: Neonatologist present during the day, on-call at night
• Days Per Month: TBD
• On-Call/Weekends: Required

• Board Certified - Neonatology/Experienced NICU PA - Required
• Active NY License - Required
• Must have experience managing patients independently - Required
