Orthopedics - Spine Physician Assistant - Now Hiring

An established orthopedic practice in Columbia, SC is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a fellowship trained surgeon specializing in spine surgery and general orthopedics.

Responsibilities:

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday-Friday schedule
• Mix of clinic/OR/hospital rounding
• 6 weekends of call per year
• 90% spine surgery
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
• Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications:

• South Carolina State License
• Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
