Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Great opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA) to work in an Orthopedic setting with a well respected healthcare facility in NE Connecticut about 1hr from Hartford, 45 mins from Providence and 1hr from Boston.

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
• Full-time, 40hrs a week
• Call 1:4 (phone) for clinic only (no OR call)
• Primarily OR and Inpatient focused, opportunity to participate in Ortho clinic if desired (optional)
• First Assist in Orthopedic surgical procedures, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopies, and sports medicine injuries
• Assist in OR for other surgical specialties as needed (e.g., general surgery, GYN, Urology, Thoracic, ENT) but 80% Ortho
• Round on Ortho inpatients, manage post-operative care, and assist in discharge planning
• Seeking candidates with at least 1-2+ years Ortho experience but also will consider with other Surgery experience
