American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of clinical experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details- 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekends and holidays required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to like or lesser acuity units required based on census
- May care for IMCU patients based on census needs
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
- Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — no license encumbrances accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
- Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips required
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Multidisciplinary team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US, and unit secretaries
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- No RTO will be honored around the Fourth of July holiday
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront to be considered at time of offer
- 13-week assignment with a Monday start
