Associate is required to use institutional-sized cookware./span/lilispanWorks at a constant pace to ensure that food is ready for each meal of the day./span/lilispanComplies with infection control policies in work area./span/lilispanKeeps equipment clean at all times./span/lilispanMay be required to fill in gaps in kitchen help./span/lilispanReports any needed repairs to maintenance department./span/lilispanReads and understands menus./span/lilispanPrepares meals in accordance with the menu and follow standardized recipes./span/lilispanAssists in the food service line to provide that diets are served as ordered (including specialized diets, likes and dislikes, therapeutic diets etc.)/span/lilispanMonitors/serves meals with appropriate portion controls (scoops, ladles, etc.)./span/lilispanAssists in processing diet changes and new diets./span/lilispanProvides that meals are prepared and served on time./span/lilispanProvides that substitutes are available for those who refuse foods served./span/lilispanProperly scrapes and washes dishes, pots, and pans./span/lilispanRecords freezer and walk-in refrigerator temperatures in accordance with established procedures./span/lilispanChecks stock as needed./span/lilispanPuts up stock in appropriate manner/span/lilispanStores cleaning materials appropriately./span/lilispanSets up tray line and performs tray line service./span/lilispanReturns trays to kitchen if requested./span/lilispanUnderstands diet orders./span/lilispanFollows NPO diet orders./span/lilispanProcesses diet orders./span/lilispanUnderstands menu substitutions and records them in accordance with procedural guidelines./span/lilispanProperly stores leftovers/opened food./span/lilispanMakes coffee/tea as requested./span/lilispanFollows procedures for serving associate meals./span/lilispanFollows proper procedures for cleaning kitchen equipment such as, carts, tables, counters, ice machine, buckets, blender, mixer, meat slicer, freezer, refrigerator, stove, oven, steamer, garbage disposal, dish machine coffee/tea maker, steam table etc./span/lilispanUses appropriate serving equipment (ladle, spoons, scoops etc)./span/lilispanChecks and records water temperature (dishwasher, pot and pan sink etc)./span/lilispanChecks dishwasher with sanitizer strips./span/lilispanChecks chemical levels and replaces if needed./span/lilispanFollows proper operating procedures of the steamer./span/lilispanPromotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication. /span/lilispanContributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System./span/lilispanPerforms other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System./span/li/ulh1/h1h1SKILLS AND ABILITIES/h1ulliCommunicates well with other associates, patients, family members, and visitors providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude./lili Responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor, answers questions when appropriate in a professional manner./li/ulp/ppbMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/b/ppA high school diploma or its equivalent preferred./ph1/h1h1SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/h1pNone./ph1/h1h1LANGUAGE SKILLS/h1pAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
