pstrongPOSITION SUMMARY: /strongCustomer Service orientated position primarily responsible for delivering superior food and beverage service to bar guests within the restaurant according to Potomac Family Dining Group and Applebeersquo;s brand standards for timeliness, accuracy, and guest service./ph3ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:/h3ulliServes food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely/liliMixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebeersquo;s/liliInteracts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat/liliGreet guests, answer questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and/liliCompletes assigned opening and closing side work as/liliSlices fruit and vegetable garnishes for/liliPresents guest checks to bar patrons. Makes correct change and/or completes any necessary credit transactions./liliProcesses employee and manager food/liliRelays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner./liliManages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand and policies and/liliParticipates in the clearing and resetting of the bar/liliMay occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go/liliMaintains a clean and organized work/liliAbility to explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to/liliAbility to drive sales with suggestive selling techniques, creating a legendary customer experience, developing customer and community relationships to increase guest visit/liliLocal Store Marketing participation to drive bar traffic and overall restaurant/liliRemoves trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster/li/ulpnbsp;/ph3EQUIPMENT/ COMPUTER SKILLS:/h3ulliPoint-of-sale computerized system/liliPhone/liliSoda fountain operation/liliOperation of blenders, frozen drink machines, and other bar equipment/liliTabletop Electronic Device/liliCutting utensils/li/ulh3SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None./h3pnbsp;/ppstrongMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:/strong/pulliFriendly and engaging demeanor/lili21+ years old/liliPrior bar service experience/liliServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus/liliReading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required/liliBi-lingual experience a plus/liliReliable transportation required/liliHigh School Degree or GED preferred/liliAbility to build relationships/liliAbility to be a team player/liliAbility to follow manager instructions and guidance/liliAbility to communicate and behave professionally at all times/li/ulpnbsp;/ph3PHYSICAL DEMANDS:/h3ulliAbility to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor, and wipe down booth seats in the bar area of the/liliTransports plates, glasses, and baskets to and from the service bar and kitchen more than 30 times per/liliMobility required during the entire/liliTransports glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds up to 15 times per/liliAbility to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in/liliMust have a good sense of balance, be able to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel and frequently lift as much as 50 pounds./liliFrequent immersion of hands in water every five (5) minutes throughout a/liliMust be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other/li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongTravel: /strongLess than 5%/ppnbsp;/ppstrongWORKING CONDITIONS: /strongSubject to wet floors and loud noises, fast-paced, outdoor conditions./ppnbsp;/ppReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions./p
