p$23.25 - $26 / Hourly/p pstrongSUMMARY/strong:/p pReporting to the Transportation Manager, the Installer IV Installs and de-installs modular furniture systems as directed by Supervisor. May be called upon to run small install and move projects. Lifts, carries and/or pushes and pulls furniture, equipment, and cartons on wheels to and from trucks, offices and warehouses as requested by the customer. Responsible to load and unload trucks from loading dock, using ramps or on lift-gates. May assist in setting offsetting goods on equipment. Responsible to produce a quality install/move for the customer. Assists the install/move process by communicating with supervisors, the end users/customer and other crew- members. Uses extreme care not to damage goods or facilities during the install/move./p pThis position is also responsible for reporting and escalating any related issues about the job, crew or customer to the Supervisor, Lead Foreman, Project Manager, or Account Manager. Typically obtains daily site work role assignments from the Supervisor, Lead Foreman, or Project Manager, however, has a dotted line to the Dispatcher, Operations Supervisor and directly reports to the Transportation Manager./p pstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/p pAccount Assignments:/p ul liChecks for start time (for next day’s work schedule) with dispatch daily./li liArrives at Corovan dispatch office (or on-site), in complete uniform every day./li liObtains daily work assignments from dispatch or operations manager./li liInstalls systems walls, splines, and componentry, handles, and stages product, performs detail work and trash-out functions on install projects./li liSets, offsets, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and moves furniture, equipment and boxes as required./li liRead install plans and identify starting locations, staging locations and changes./li liProperly loads and unloads trucks from loading dock, using ramps or on lift-gates to protect goods being moved and supervises others doing the same. Completes all paperwork accurately and neatly and turns into operations daily./li /ul pstrong /strong/p pCustomer Relations:/p ul liMaintain excellent customer service with the customers, transportation, warehouse, sales, and operation teams to establish solid relationships./li liMust be punctual at all times. If an emergency arises, inform the supervisor and warehouse manager immediately, so that appropriate coverage can be arranged./li liMust work cooperatively with members of the crew./li liMust be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers, both internal and external./li liMust be respectful of rules at each customer site as to where to work and adhere to meal and rest period locations./li liMust follow all confidentiality rules regarding any products, services, or documents that are visible at a customer’s move site./li liMust follow all security rules for the company and assigned customers./li /ul p /p pTraining:/p ul liTrain Installer I, II and III employees under the direction of the supervisor./li /ul p /p pSafety:/p ul liPerforms work with quality, efficiency, and safety at all times./li liMust abide by all safety rules; to include proper safety equipment (PPE) (back braces, safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, masks and/or gloves, etc. as required by the customer or by law)./li liDrives forklifts and bobtails if qualified safely (requiring everyone in cab to wear seatbelts, slow speeds, ensuring trucks are chalked and using proper plates, etc.)./li liReport any unsafe dangerous requests from customers to senior management./li /ul p /p pOther duties:/p ul liSign timesheets daily signifying your start, meal periods and end time daily, and other documentation is completed accurately and turned in by the time requirement./li liIf also a qualified and approved driver, drives trucks up to and including Class A vehicles./li liAll other duties as assigned based on business needs./li /ul p /p pstrongQUALIFICATIONS: /strong/p pTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations./li listrongOTHER/strong strongDUTIES/strong: ol liProblem solving and strong decision-making skills/li liMust be familiar with and able to train others using various moving equipment and its proper usage such as dollies, carts, pads, straps, pallet jacks, forklifts, ramps, lift gates, and all specialty equipment including but not limited to roll-a-lifts, Genie lifts safe jacks, J bars, etc., etc./li liMust be familiar with basic systems furniture nomenclature and be able to identify upon sight, the major lines of the three major manufactures: Steelcase, Herman Miller, and Haworth. Must also be able to identify the two major lines of Knoll product./li liMust be familiar with project management reports such as Gantt and Pert charts and understand and interpret cut sheets./li liMust be able to produce detailed inventories of all goods exposed to on OI and install projects./li liMust be able to accurately estimate large move, install and or tech projects to determine manpower, trucks, and equipment necessary to complete the tasks required./li liMust be able to lead medium to large sized installation projects without supervision./li liMust own and bring to work every day, a complete set of Installer III level installation tools as defined in Corovan installation policy./li liMust possess the knowledge and skills necessary to install whiteboards/glass boards, trouble shoot electrical issues within the panels, install TV Monitors of all sizes. Install Sit/Stand Arm Assemblies and height adjustable bases./li liMust be able to adequately make custom cuts on worksurfaces including grommets. Must be able to correctly install wall-track and wall-starts.  Must be able to adequately install cabinets and furniture to wall track according to safety protocols./li liMust be able to produce red-line and stick drawings for the purpose of assembly or disassembly of systems furniture. Has an understanding of space planning fundamentals and building Code./li liMust be able to conduct a customer pre-move meeting, post destination signage and communicate all standard move and install protocol to the customers./li liMust be familiar with laboratory moving including packing of lab equipment, fine tune and detail work, PC disconnect and reconnect and must possess good customer service skills./li liMust be familiar with the OI (Office Industrial) move process and understand the move labeling and directional signage./li liMust complete Mover I II, and Installer I, II, III and IV Level Corovan University training and pass the written tests. May also be required to Driver I or II classes if an approved and qualified driver./li /ol /li /ol pstrongEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:/strong/p ol liHigh School Diploma and/or general education degree (GED); or three to five year’s related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience./li liValid California driver’s license may be required./li liIf driving on behalf of the company, a valid driving record that meets the company’s insurance carrier’s requirements./li liFive (5) years of installation/moving experience required, using various moving equipment and its proper usage such as dollies, carts, pads, straps, pallet jacks, forklifts, ramps, lift gates, and all specialty equipment including but not limited to roll-a-lifts, Genie lifts safe jacks and J bars./li liMay be required to obtain an asbestos training certification./li /ol pstrong /strong/p pstrongPRIMARY LOCATION:/strong/p pOrange County.
