pspanstrongAbode/strong, one of the largest and effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking a strongUnit Matcher/strong for our programs in Alameda County./span/p pstrongAbout The Role/strong: The strongUnit Matcher/strong is responsible for connecting participants to appropriate housing opportunities in the inventory database in a manner that reflects participant needs and preferences to the greatest degree possible. People of color make up nearly 70% of our workforce and we strive to recruit and retain employees from all backgrounds.   /spanspan /span/p pspanstrongOur Benefits and Perks:/strong/spanspan /span/p ul listrong$28.00 - $30.80 per hour/strong/li lispan100% Medical, Dental, Vision benefits coverage for employees/span/li lispan19 PTO days 12 Holidays per year/span/li lispan403(b) Retirement Savings Plans with Employer Match Contribution Programs/span/li lispanProfessional Development Trainings and Opportunities, All Staff Events/span/li lispanDynamic, mission-drive culture and supportive leadership/span/li /ul pstrongHow You Make An Impact: /strong/p ul liParticipate in meetings with program participants and their assigned Housing Navigators to identify the housing opportunities in Abode’s inventory that best match their needs and preferences.  /li liSupport participants and their Housing Navigator with understanding how the housing placement process works, what to expect, and who will be supporting them through the process. /li liIn partnership with Housing Navigators, engage in reality-based coaching about housing opportunities and the types of units/neighborhoods/amenities that are likely to be available through the program. /li liUse reports to complete “matches” between participants and the units they will be considering, including: /li liAssigning the unit to the participant so that they are the only person viewing the unit at that time. /li liAlerting the unit’s Housing Specialist to schedule a viewing time. /li liUpdating the participant and unit information to reflect decisions, e.g., when a unit will be viewed. /li liProviding additional unit options if the first or second options are not accepted. /li liFollow up with Housing Specialists and Housing Navigators to ensure that information about inventory is updated (e.g., accepted units are removed from available inventory, rejected units are returned to available inventory, etc.)  /li liEnsure that participants are connected to viable housing options and track the number of viable options that each household receives to ensure that it does not exceed program requirements.  /li liProvide weekly reports to Housing Specialists and Managers regarding units available in the inventory. /li liWork collaboratively with both the Real Estate team and the Housing Specialists to share information about which units are in greatest demand, and so that they can ensure that the inventory reflects participant needs, geographic coverage, and other needs. /li liRegular data entry in Salesforce database and maintain file compliance and participate in regular file audits.  /li liEnsure that all regulatory agreements, contracts, and fair housing laws are met as they relate to housing. /li liOther duties as assigned. /li /ul pstrongHow You Meet Qualifications: /strong/p ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. /li li1 year of experience working in the housing field or social services field /li liUse of personal vehicle and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record, is required.  /li /ul pstrongNotice/strong: This description is to be used as a guide only.
