pA position has been declared open in the Weber School District for a Part-time Adult Custodian at Kanesville Elementary This position is fornbsp;3 hours per day, 12 months per year.nbsp;Hours for this position are subject to change depending on individual school needs, activities, and employee needs but are generally from 3:00pm ndash; 6:00pm during the school year and will vary during the summer./p pnbsp;/p pApplicants shall apply at a href="wsd.schoolspring.com" target="_blank"wsd.schoolspring.com/a./p pnbsp;/p pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"strongPurpose Statement and Job Overview:/strong/span/p pnbsp;/p p style="padding-left: 30px;"The position of Part-time Custodian was created to assist with the cleaning of schools and other District facilities; providing assistance to teachers, students and staff as directed by the Head Custodian or Assistant Head Custodian./p pnbsp;/p pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"strongRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Necessary for Essential Functions:/strong/span/p ul liMust be at least 18 years old./li liMust pass a background check by Utah's Bureau of Criminal Identification./li liMust be clean and neat in appearance and in personal habits./li liMust be able to lift 50 lbs without difficulty./li liMust be able to clean assigned areas of the building./li liMust be able to wear and use a backpack vacuum, this requires frequent twisting and bending./li liMust be loyal and able to keep confidences./li liMust be able to assist with grounds care and snow removal as assigned./li liMust agree to attend in-person district Part-time Custodial training course (NCOT)./li liMust dress appropriately which includes school dress code plus proper foot wear such as closed toe shoes./li liMust use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses as required./li liMay be assigned to secure the school building at the end of the working shift and accept responsibility for that assignment. This position is only in elementary schools without an Assistant Head Custodian and is referred to as ldquo;Lead Part-time Custodianrdquo;./li liOther duties as assigned./li /ul pSupervision for thisnbsp;/p ul liSupervision for this position will be provided primarily by the Head Custodian or Assistant Head Custodian. In the case of the ldquo;Lead Part-time Custodianrdquo; position, minimal supervision will be required of that position such as collecting of other employeesrsquo; keys at the end of the shift, ensuring that all occupants are clear from the building and the building is secure./li liThe ldquo;Lead Part-time Custodianrdquo; position only exists in an elementary school without an Assistant Head Custodian and no supervision beyond what has been described above is expected of that employee./li liThe Head Custodian or Assistant Head Custodian is responsible for ongoing training. Part-time custodians are not authorized or permitted to train other part-time custodians. All questions, requests for time off or training requests should be referred to the Head or Assistant Head Custodian. The school Principal has supervision over all school employees.nbsp;/li /ul
