Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating. /pp/ppbRole Overview:/b/pullispanWelds together metal components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, or manufacturing operations sheet (MOS), using Tig welding equipment./span/lilispanConnects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse as specified. Starts power supply to produce electric current./span/lilispanManually guides torch along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle./span/lilispanWelds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions./span/lilispanExamines weld for bead size and other specifications./span/lilispanManually applies filler rod to supply weld metal. Cleans weld joint or workpiece. Prepares rework parts for welding./span/lilispanPositions or clamps workpieces together or assembles them in a jig or fixture./span/lilispanMay tack assemblies together./span/lilispanWill use a computer daily (checking email, viewing/downloading shop drawings and instructions)/span/li/ulp/ppbThe Ideal Candidate:/b/pulliWill have the ability to perform the following:ullispanSubtract, multiply and divide fractions, decimals and whole numbers/span/lilispanApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or graphic form/span/lilispanApply learning and experience to deal with variables within specifications/span/lilispanRead safety rules in the use and maintenance of shop equipment./span/lilispanRead related technical material and apply principles to daily operations (this includes reading and interpreting blueprints)./span/lilispanAccurately read and complete forms/span/lilispanComplete the Elano welding vision test (as a new hire and annually)/span/lilispanUse standards shop measuring devices (calipers and micrometers)/span/li/ul/li/ulp/ppbRequired Qualifications:/b/pullispanHigh School diploma or GED/span/lilispanSuccessful completion of a TIG Welding Training Course (formal program) /span/lilispanOr previous experience as a TIG welder with 6 months experience/span/lilispanSuccessful completion of the Unison-Dayton TIG Welding Assessment/span/li/ulp/ppbPreferred Qualifications:/b/pullispanTeam Player and willing to operate in a professional environment/span/lilispanTakes Pride in the work they are doing/span/lilispanExcellent attendance and punctuality history and availability to work overtime as needed/span/lilispanMakes decisions based on experience and available data/span/lilispanStrives to meet or exceed job requirements/span/lilispanAble to work effectively when receiving general supervision (This involves performing routine assignments alone.)/span/lilispanAble to carry out operations according to set procedures or sequences./span/lilispanAbility to receive and act on constructive feedback/span/li/ulp/ppbAdditional Information:/b/pullispanWages $22.00 - $27.56 per hour based on experience/span/lilispanAdditional $1.50 Premium for 3rd shift!!/span/lilispanAble to lift up to 40 pounds.
