strongCompany Description:/strongpstrongIf you love saying YES and enjoy engaging with the community by leading with ART, 21c Museum Hotels is one of the pioneering examples of bridging the worlds of art and hospitality.#xa0; We combine a multi-venue contemporary art museum, boutique hotel and a chef driven restaurant to create a unique and welcoming opportunity./strong/ppstrongCome join our Flock!/strong/pstrongJob Description:/strongpstrongGeneral Purpose:/strong The Banquet Bartender provides timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for each guest./ppstrongSpecific Responsibilities:/strong/pulliFollows all steps of service./liliProvides superior service behind the bar by preparing drinks according to recipe standards./liliKnows drink names, ingredients, method of preparation, appropriate glassware, and garnishes./liliKnows all wines by the glass and at least 5 wines in each category on the wine list in varying price ranges and styles./liliKnows specialty beverages, i.e. single malt scotches, cognacs, specialty drinks, beer list./liliKnows all menu descriptions of bar menu and dining room menu./liliEnsures all stock is up to par levels./liliCompletes daily inventory and inform servers/managers/bar back of any changes./liliVerifies all guests are at least 21 years of age./liliProvides prompt, accurate report of all income received during shift./liliSells beverages responsibly with customer's best interest in mind./liliMaintains smooth flow of service between bar and server requests./liliCompletes all sidework as outlined in manual./liliReports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift./liliMaintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers and guests./liliMaintains a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant service area./liliAssists with/executes any and all tasks as assigned by supervisor./liliFills in for server shifts when needed./liliFollows all proper sanitation guidelines./li/ulstrongQualifications:/strongp#xa0;/pulliAble to work flexible hours (nights, weekends)./liliResponsible, dependable, punctual./liliStrong communication skills; must be able to speak, read and understand English./liliClean and professional appearance./liliDemonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c./liliExhibits strong beverage knowledge./liliMust pass a background check./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time./liliRequires lifting of up to 50 lbs./li/ulstrongAdditional Information:/strongpstrong21c Museum Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
