p style="text-align: center;"span style="font-size: 18pt; color: #ff0000;"strongOpen Until Filled/strong/span/p pnbsp;/p pstrongPRIMARY PURPOSE:/strong/p pUnder general supervision, maintain and make ready the stadium and other performance fields for all UIL competitive events such as football, track, soccer and band contests to a condition of playing excellence./p pnbsp;/p pstrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p puMinimum Education:/unbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;/p pHigh school diploma or GED- preferred/p pnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;/p puCertification / License/u/p pMust possess a valid Driverrsquo;s License, CDL- preferred/p pLicensed chemical applicator by SPCB/TDO in LO and weeds- preferred/p pnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;/p puSpecial Knowledge/Skills:/u/p pGeneral knowledge of cultural turf maintenance and athletic field care, markings and equipment/p pDemonstrated general knowledge of various types of farm/field equipment and attachments/p pDemonstrated ability to keep accurate records/p pBroad field knowledge of applying fertilizers and pesticides/p pCapable of assessing site conditions and initiating proper and logical steps to address problems/situations/p pStrong organizational and customer service skills/p pAbility to prioritize work assignments/p pnbsp;/p puWork Conditions:/u/p pstrongTools/Equipment Used:/strong Power tools and equipment (with instruction); use of farm/field equipment including but notnbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; limited to tractor with 3 point hydraulics, dump trucks, loaders/p pstrongPosture:nbsp;/strongProlonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs; frequent bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting/p pstrongMotion:nbsp;/strongFrequent reaching, pushing and pulling/p pstrongLifting:nbsp;/strongLifting and carrying 50 pounds occasionally; must be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force frequently; up to 10nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; pounds constantly/p pstrongEnvironment:nbsp;/strongWork with frequent interruptions and changes in task; must maintain professional demeanor under/p pstress; problem solving skills; ability to work in all weather conditions, both day and night; exposure to hazardous cnbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; chemicals/fuels;nbsp; irregular work hours/schedule/p pstrongRegular attendance is an essential function/strong/p pnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;/p puMinimum Experience:/u/p pOne year of lawn/turf maintenance or related field./p pOne year of experience in operating, i.e. tractor with 3 point hydraulics, dump trucks, loaders, etc./p pnbsp;/p pstrongMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:/strong/p ol liPerform scheduled maintenance of athletic fields to include, but not limited to: mowing, fertilizing, pesticide applications, aerating, seeding and top dressing./li liAssist the Athletic Crew Leader in major responsibilities related to the care of the stadium and other areas as assigned./li liService tractor engines and hydraulic/mechanical, parts and accessories./li liPerform all documentation for work orders./li liTransport necessary equipment to various job sites./li liProvide guidance and direction to the Field Groomer./li liAssist work crews, as assigned, when required for other maintenance duties during off season./li liFollow district safety protocols and emergency procedures./li liEnsure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes including the Educator Code of Ethics./li liPerform such other tasks and accepts such other responsibilities as may be assigned./li /ol
