Welcoming parents, children, and guests to the school.br /2. Assist front office staff, students, other staff, and parents.br /3. Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.br /4. Notify and coordinate with the front office backup support person when leaving and returning from station to ensure station does not get left unattended.br /5. Serves as English/Spanish interpreter for parents, teachers, and staff for effective communication.br /6. Communicate and assist students, staff, and parents as needed while maintaining a positive atmosphere.br /7. Translate letters/documents from English to Spanish.br /8. Perform the usual office routines and practices associated with a productive office (e.g., telephone, typing, copying, filing, scheduling, etc.).br /9. Check visitor identification through Raptor Software (registered sex offenders alert).as assigned.br /10. Responsible for making identification badges as assigned.br /11. Maintain proper files to include inventory of school supplies, mailing lists, studentrsquo;s records, visitor logs, and communication.br /12. Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment.br /13. Sort, distribute, or deliver mail and other documents.br /14. Prepare mailings in both English and Spanish to parents, students and staffbr /15. Type correspondences, make travel arrangements, and maintain records and filesbr /16. Prepare purchase orders and requisitions for needed materials and release payment authorizations in a timely manner.br /17. Exhibit professional telephone etiquette utilizing both English and Spanish.br /18. Coordinate facilities and materials/equipment needed for meetings and events.br /19. Maintain a daily teacher attendance log and records for substitute teachers.br /20. Assist Attendance Clerk when needed.br /21. Prepare instructional materials, meeting agendas, honor rolls, graduation lists as requested, using computer.br /22. Schedule meetings and appointments and assist in maintaining school calendar of scheduled appointments.br /23. Maintain a log of visitors to the school.br /24. Greet/receive staff and direct them to appropriate office or meeting.br /25. Refer inquiries or problems to appropriate office.br /26. Maintain media file.br /27. Handle several projects simultaneously.br /28. Remain current on school information for the public, i.e., school calendar, campus bell schedules, etc.br /29. Assist in routine office communications and operations.br /30. Attend district report card nights, ceremonies/celebrations as assignedbr /31. Update display with district notices/events.br /32. Assist in large projects for the district.br /33. Ensure proper money handling procedures for funds collected from ID badges and lunch money, locking up and turning in daily to business office for deposit.br /34.
