divdivdivdivpbr/pp id="isPasted"strongAbout the Role/strong/ppThe Patient Care Tech performs patient care activates within the limits of the position./ppstrongPOSITIONrsquo;S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:nbsp;/strong/pul type="disc"liAssist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding./liliMonitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates./liliPerform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and phlebotomy procedures as required./liliAssist with patient mobility, including repositioning, transferring, and ambulation./liliProvide basic medical care, such as changing dressings and applying prescribed treatments./liliEnsure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients./liliSupport patients with toileting needs and maintain personal hygiene./liliCommunicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals about patient conditions and concerns./liliAssist in the collection of medical specimens for testing./liliObserve and report changes in a patientrsquo;s physical, mental, and emotional health./liliMaintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care./liliFollow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff./liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:nbsp;/strong/pulliDemonstrates the ability to work under pressure or stress.nbsp;/liliMust be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills./liliAbility to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles./liliStrong assessment, organizational and problem - solving skills as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components./liliAbility to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team and patients and their families.nbsp;/liliUses critical thinking skills and clinical judgment to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act./liliDemonstrates the ability to establish priorities among the essential functions of the job and coordinate these functions with others.nbsp;/liliDemonstrates the ability to speak, read, and write the English language.nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;/liliGraduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate./liliCurrent and active CPR certification./li/ulpbr/p/div/div/div/div
