American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ER position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of travel and recent ER experience with a TN or compact RN license in hand.

- Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center \n
- Emergency Department (ER) unit \n
- Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00) \n
- On-call required as needed \n
- Weekend rotations required as needed \n
- Large hospital experience preferred \n
- Cerner EMR experience preferred \n
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare \n
- \n
- Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted \n
- Minimum 2+ years of recent ER experience required (strictly enforced); 3+ years preferred \n
- Minimum 2+ years of travel nursing experience required; candidates with 3+ years of recent experience may be considered as a first-time traveler exception \n
- Level I Trauma Center experience required \n
- BLS certification required (must be current or have a documented renewal plan if expiring during assignment) \n
- ADN or higher required for this position \n
- Driver's license required for consideration \n
- Willingness to work 48-hour weeks when needed \n

- First-time travelers are not accepted; at least one completed prior travel assignment is required (exception may apply for candidates with 3+ years of recent ER experience) \n
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — RTO will not be approved if not submitted at the time of application \n
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler \n
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and/or New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays (or 1 of 2 if only 2 fall within the contract) \n
