Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ER position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of travel and recent ER experience with a TN or compact RN license in hand.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center
\n
• Emergency Department (ER) unit
\n
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
\n
• On-call required as needed
\n
• Weekend rotations required as needed
\n
• Large hospital experience preferred
\n
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
\n
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
\n
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ER experience required (strictly enforced); 3+ years preferred
\n
• Minimum 2+ years of travel nursing experience required; candidates with 3+ years of recent experience may be considered as a first-time traveler exception
\n
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
\n
• BLS certification required (must be current or have a documented renewal plan if expiring during assignment)
\n
• ADN or higher required for this position
\n
• Driver's license required for consideration
\n
• Willingness to work 48-hour weeks when needed
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• First-time travelers are not accepted; at least one completed prior travel assignment is required (exception may apply for candidates with 3+ years of recent ER experience)
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
\n
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — RTO will not be approved if not submitted at the time of application
\n
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
\n
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and/or New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays (or 1 of 2 if only 2 fall within the contract)
