About The Position

Cuero, Texas Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity

Rhino Medical is actively seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for an exciting locum tenens opportunity in Cuero, TX. This position offers flexible scheduling, full-time coverage, and a well-supported emergency department in a Level IV Trauma Center.

Opportunity Details:

• Location: Cuero, Texas
• Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
• Shift Schedule:
  • 12-hour shifts (24-hour shifts may be accepted with hospital approval)
  • Flexible scheduling
• Patient Volume: 675 per month
• Patient Demographics:
  • 20% Trauma
  • 23% Pediatrics

Facility Details:

• Trauma Level: IV
• Emergency Department Beds: 6
• EMR System: Meditech Magic (Requires brief training before first shift)
• Staffing:
  • 13 Family Physicians, 1 General Surgeon, 1 Internal Medicine, 4 OB Physicians
  • OB Physician and First Assist on-call 24/7
  • OB Nurses are in-house 24/7
• Lab & X-Ray: 24/7 availability
• Referral Centers: Citizens Medical Center, DeTar Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and SAMMC
• Meals: Breakfast & Lunch provided

Provider Requirements:

• Board Certification: ABEM/AOBEM preferred (will consider FM/IM with Emergency Medicine experience)
• Licensure: Active Texas Medical License & Unrestricted DEA
• Certifications Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• CME Requirements:
  • 9 hours Trauma CME per year
  • 8 hours Stroke CME per year
  • NIHSS Certification required every other year
