We’re Looking for Exceptional Counselors Who Hold:

  • ADT, CSC-AD, or CAC-AD certification with the Board of Professional Counselors in Maryland

  • A heart for helping others and a drive to support lasting recovery

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Experience working in substance use and/or co-occurring treatment settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions at least four times per week to support clients in navigating recovery, adjusting to life’s challenges, and making positive behavioral changes.

  • Conduct weekly one-on-one sessions with assigned consumers to ensure individualized care and support.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of consumer progress, clinical services provided, treatment notes, and relevant history using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess client needs and develop tailored treatment plans that support long-term recovery and mental well-being.

  • Perform comprehensive Intake Assessments and ASAM evaluations to determine appropriate level of care and placement.

  • Develop personalized treatment plans within seven (7) days of admission, incorporating consumer strengths, needs, goals, and clinical recommendations.

  • Monitor and document consumer progress toward treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary in coordination with the treatment team.

  • Deliver alcohol and drug education through both individual sessions and group facilitation, focusing on relapse prevention and lifestyle changes.

  • Ensure all clinical records and documentation are current and compliant with regulatory standards.

  • Oversee and document random drug testing (urinalysis) in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Adhere strictly to all confidentiality guidelines as mandated by Federal and State laws (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA).

  • Supervise and support the performance and development of counselor trainees, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality of care.
