Job Description
Private Medical NY State Facility is in need of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for their Psychiatric Division.
Onsite @ The Bronx - Monday Through Friday 8.30am-5pm - Asking for at least a 3-month contract commitment.
Core Responsibilities:
o Assessment and Diagnosis:
LCSWs evaluate clients' mental and emotional states, gather relevant information, and identify potential diagnoses.
o Treatment Planning:
They develop individualized treatment plans that address the client's specific needs and goals, considering their strengths and challenges.
· Therapy and Counseling:
LCSWs provide various therapeutic modalities, such as individual, group, and family therapy, to help clients address their issues.
· Crisis Intervention:
They are trained to respond to crises, providing immediate support and interventions for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies or significant life changes.
· Collaboration:
LCSWs collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for their clients.
· Advocacy:
They advocate for their clients' rights and needs, working to improve access to resources and services.
· Referral and Resource Connection:
LCSWs connect clients with appropriate resources and support systems, such as housing, financial assistance, and community organizations.
· Evaluation and Monitoring:
They monitor client progress, evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, and make necessary adjustments.
· Ethical Practice:
LCSWs adhere to a strict code of ethics, ensuring confidentiality, respect, and client well-being.
· Documentation:
LCSWs maintain accurate and thorough records of client interactions and progress.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Supervision:
Some LCSWs may also supervise other social workers, providing guidance and mentorship.
· Research:
LCSWs may engage in research to advance knowledge and practice in the field of social work.
· Teaching and Training:
LCSWs can contribute to the education and training of future social workers.
· Community Engagement:
LCSWs may be involved in community outreach and advocacy efforts to address social issues.
Requirements:NY State License in Clinical Social Work
Ability to work at the client's onsite facility in The Bronx Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm EST
