What your day will look like:
- Adhere to standard procedures for machine setup, part production, and preventative maintenance (PM).
- Inspect, deburr, and perform manual tasks or operate additional equipment, including selecting and presetting tools for upcoming jobs.
- Update and maintain visual controls; develop and implement countermeasures as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Actively participate in SMED, Kaizen events, and "5 Whys" problem-solving activities.
- Address or report any equipment issues.
- Follow company safety procedures and standards to ensure the safety of individuals and the workplace, while minimizing risks to oneself, colleagues, contractors, customers, and property
.What we are looking for:
- A high school diploma or GED; trade school certification preferred
- 2+ years of machining experience or equivalent education in a related field
- Experience with tool changes and making in-process offset adjustments
- Blueprint reading and a solid understanding of GD&T.
- Familiarity with CNC machines (mills/lathes) and controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma.
