As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic Assistant General Manager to assist in the daily operations of our restaurant.
Job Summary:
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the management team in delivering exceptional guest experience while achieving outstanding pizza quality, on time orders, sales growth, profitability and above all, operational excellence. This role requires experience with restaurant management such as leadership, business management, operations, people development and customer service. This position works closely with the General Manager to ensure all store operations are consistently exceeding expectations and leads the team in the General Managers absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership
- Motivate and inspire the team to deliver all orders according to timing standards
- Ensure a safe work environment by implementing and monitoring safety programs and compliance with regulations
- Business Management
- Help to maximize profitability by executing the business plan, controlling costs, and utilizing forecasting tools
- Assist with implementing company-wide marketing programs and developing local strategies to drive sales
- Execute and deliver all carry out and delivery orders with the assistance of 3rd Party partners and internal sales associates
- Forecast sales and project labor for scheduling purposes to meet store budgets
- Conduct business with fairness, adhering to legal requirements, and maintaining ethical practices
- Operations
- Assist with all pizzeria operations, maintaining the highest standards of quality, food service and cleanliness
- Collaborate with Kitchen Managaer and back-of-house team to deliver outstanding pizzas
- Efficiently manage labor resources while delivering exceptional service
- Execute the Retail Wine and Beer program, through weekly tasting events
- Uphold food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the well-being of employees and customers
- People Development
- Utilize training programs to enhance employee performance and customer service
- Foster the skills, knowledge, and career growth of all employees, creating a positive work environment
- Conduct on-going training programs to inform and teach all hourly team members and bartenders about product offerings
- Identify and develop talent within the team, providing opportunities for advancement
- Customer Service
- Provide a consistently exceptional customer service experience, ensuring total customer satisfaction
- Respond promptly and positively to customer concerns, proactively resolving potential issues
- Maintain a professional demeanor, leading by example
- Enable the team to achieve the goal of being every guest’s “Favorite Neighborhood Pizza Shop”
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in management roles
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Drive) and the ability to learn other cloud-based programs
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff and management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to attain a ServSafe Food Managers License, Alcohol Awareness Certification and Restaurant Managers License
Preferred Skills:
- Hospitality or business degree
- Experience with industry specific platforms: MarginEdge, Slack, 7Shifts, Square
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
- Full-service experience and/or bar program experience
Benefits:
- Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
