Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all employees' behavior and involvement in the areas of Safety (incident reports, closure rates), Quality, Company Policies, Production, Operational Cost, Lean Manufacturing Procedures and On-Time Performance.
- Manage employee performance by using the hourly annual performance review procedures, and discipline problems per Department and Company policy. Report all issues of concern to upper-level management using company policy and company ethics procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to respective hourly personnel in operations adhering to safety and housekeeping controls.
- Continually strive to develop and promote all team members and/or prepare employees for advancement, growth and cross-training within the company.
- Responsible for certification and re-certification of all employees for each skill in critical and non-critical operations.
- Implement mission critical maintenance to increase reliability while reducing quality cost associated with production and process procedures or any other means.
- Lead and respond to breakdown needs of the shop to assure availability of operations equipment for on-time delivery.
- Recommend and make modifications to all types of equipment based on reliability and production needs.
- Required to keep production and other records as necessary.
- Required to work overtime and hours other than normal shift hours as required by management.
- Perform other duties as required or directed by management.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Preferred:
- Previous experience leading hourly workforce
- 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience. Electrical experience is a plus.
