American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications, with day shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

- Hospital ICU setting with 24 beds and an average daily census of 19 patients \n
- Adult to geriatric patient population with diagnoses including ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT \n
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3; candidates should be prepared for the possibility of a 3-patient assignment \n
- Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis medication dispensing system, and SBAR communication framework \n
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00); no alternate shifts or schedule changes are permitted \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed \n
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment \n
- \n
- Active GA or compact RN license required \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) \n
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required \n
- Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration \n
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Local candidates are accepted \n
- Navy blue scrubs required \n
- Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine clinical fit prior to manager review \n
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler \n
- Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review \n
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as one) \n
- Full compliance is required to begin on time; delays in compliance may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule \n
