Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine Physician - Now Hiring

Join a Premier Neonatology Team in Cartersville, GA

Pediatrix Medical Group, a national leader in neonatal and pediatric care, is thrilled to offer a full-time position for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist. This opportunity is in our newly established Level II NICU located at a nationally ranked facility in the charming suburb of Cartersville, just 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care to newborns requiring Level II NICU support
• Attend high-risk and C-section deliveries
• Cover a 12-bed newborn nursery, including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable
• Round in-house during the day
• Take call from home overnight
• Work collaboratively with nurses and allied staff
• Contribute to quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
• Support newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed
• Not accepting Locums candidates

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology
• GA license (or willing to obtain)
• Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start)
• Experience or training in Level II NICU care
• DEA (must be obtained prior to start)

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
• Georgia state medical license
• DEA registration
