APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Port Huron, MI looking to add a Maintenance Technician to their already amazing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and light building maintenance to ensure optimal facility operations. This hands-on role supports production efficiency, workplace safety, and quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This hands-on role supports production efficiency, workplace safety, and quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What’s in it for you:
- 3rd shift schedule 6:30pm-5:00am Monday-Thursday (4 day work week!)
- Competitive hourly rate ranging between $28.00-$34.00/hr. depending on experience

What your day will look like:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
- Accurately document all preventive maintenance activities in the company’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including minor repairs and assistance with major equipment repairs.
- Identify opportunities for preventive solutions during repair evaluations to reduce future breakdowns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Maintenance Room in compliance with 5S or similar housekeeping standards.
- Conduct basic building maintenance tasks, including lighting, plumbing, and facility repairs as needed.
- Adhere to and support GGI’s Quality Management System (QMS) and related compliance requirements.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of previous maintenance technician experience
- Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Experience with maintaining a preventive maintenance schedule and tracking maintenance work.
- Availability to respond to emergency maintenance calls, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Basic computer proficiency, especially in Windows-based applications.
- Experience operating a forklift safely (certification preferred).
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and perform tasks that require standing, bending, or climbing ladders.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
