About The Position

Arkansas-based hospital is seeking ongoing weekend locums coverage in Interventional Cardiology. This is a great opportunity for physicians looking to add supplemental income with minimal callback.

Highlights:

• Long-term assignment - stay on as long as it fits your schedule

Practice Setting:

• Inpatient hospital-based
• No admissions - handled by hospitalists
• Support from 3 APPs for weekday rounding
• Onsite EP and CV Surgery teams available

Schedule:

• Primarily 24-hour STEMI call Friday-Monday
• Occasional weekday call coverage may be needed
• Callback volume remains low

Procedures and Cases:

• STEMI response
• Cardiac catheterizations and interventions
• 12-15 patients seen daily
• 5-10 phone consults per day

Requirements:

• Board Certified or BE within 5 years in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Arkansas license
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 24 months experience

Credentialing Requirements:

• Expedited privileges available for clean files
• Target start: July 2025

Travel Accommodations:

• Travel and lodging covered
• Malpractice insurance provided
