Job Description
Now Hiring: Full-Time Service Writer & Workflow Manager at Cooper River Cycles
Location: Daniel Island, SC (Near Credit One Stadium & Publix)
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (40 hours/week)
Pay: $21–$27/hr (based on performance) + Shared Tips
Perks: 3% Retirement Match | 3 Weeks PTO | Heavy Product Discounts
At Cooper River Cycles, bikes are more than a business—they're a lifestyle, a community, and a whole lot of fun. We're a busy, high-energy repair-focused shop located in the heart of Daniel Island, and we’re on the lookout for a Service Writer & Workflow Manager who knows bikes, understands service, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing role.
What You'll Do:
As the Service Writer & Workflow Manager, you'll be the friendly face and sharp mind behind every service ticket that rolls in. You’ll:
Greet customers and check in bikes for service
Accurately diagnose issues and estimate repair time and level of difficulty
Write clear and thorough service tickets that align with customer needs
Communicate timelines honestly and proactively—current, delayed, or sooner-than-expected
Source parts from both our on-hand inventory and special order channels
Keep customers in the loop and manage expectations with transparency and care
Help keep our service area organized and flowing efficiently
What We're Looking For:
Solid knowledge of bikes—from entry-level hybrids to high-end carbon builds
Hands-on wrench experience and ability to assess degree of service difficulty
Strong time management and multitasking skills
A love for customer interaction and making people feel taken care of
Detail-oriented, dependable, and solution-minded
Prior shop experience is a big plus
Why You'll Love Working Here:
We see a steady stream of bikes, challenges, and characters every single day. One hour you might be checking in a commuter bike needing a quick tune; the next, you’re sourcing obscure parts for a vintage road build or helping a customer navigate a warranty issue.
We take pride in doing professional, high-quality work while keeping the vibe fun, respectful, and passionate about riding. Our crew loves bikes, loves solving problems, and loves making sure customers leave with smiles on their faces.
The Extras:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and performance ($21–$27/hr)
Shared tips because this is a team effort
3 weeks paid time off - *accrued structure
3% retirement match to help you plan ahead
Deep discounts on gear and parts—because we know you love bikes too *60 day probation period
