Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"We are seeking skilled strongemFire Alarm/Low-Voltage, Designers and Senior Designers/em/strong to join our team. In this role you will design and generate low voltage shop drawings, as well as prepare technical submittals, RFI's and closeout documents./pp style="margin: 0px;" /p Responsibilities: p style="margin: 0px;" /pulliThe design and/or drafting of fire life safety and other low voltage shop drawings for multi-family, high-rise, military, and commercial buildings./liliWork closely with the HCI Project Managers and Account Executives to complete accurate designs and prepare submittals in a timely and professional manner./liliManage and update electronic and physical engineering libraries including job folders, equipment manuals, technical data sheets, brochures, and templates./liliApply company and National CAD Standards to shop drawings./liliResolve design problems through research of multiple alternatives./liliCoordinate designs with other trades and building owners as needed to create a complete design./liliRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals./liliIdentify out of scope work, design flaws by review of the contract documents, proposal, plans, and specifications provided./liliIdentify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient design./liliAssist with all questions and concerns on the design in a timely and professional manner./liliEffectively communicate project status to management./liliPerform document control tasks such as printing, downloading, and filing./liliPerform take-offs (counts) on plans./liliComplete all appropriate company paperwork as required./li/ulp style="margin: 0px;" /p Qualifications: p style="margin: 0px;" /pulliStrong computer skills including a solid background in AutoCAD is a requirement./liliFamiliar with CBC, CFC, CMC, CEC/NEC, NFPA 72, UFC codes and City Municipal Codes as it pertains to Fire Alarm Systems/liliIndustry related NICET, RCDD or similar certification is desired./liliComputer proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam./liliMust have excellent writing and verbal communication skills./liliMust be self-motivated, have strong organizational skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined and have excellent follow up skills./liliPossess the ability to take the initiative to get a project completed./liliApplicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record./liliRegular, reliable, predictable attendance./li/ulp style="margin: 0px;"strongWhy Join Us?/strong/pullistrongUnlimited Growth/strong – Our expanding product lines and markets drive consistent double-digit growth, creating ongoing opportunities for advancement./lilistrongComprehensive Benefits/strong – Enjoy 401(k) with matching, reduced-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus flexible spending accounts.
