pThis position is eligible for up to a $5,000 sign on bonus/p pstrongPosition Summary:nbsp;/strong/p pPerforms duties of a clinical and clerical nature. nbsp;Maintains records and nbsp;applies knowledge and skills to run a full functioning office for one or more Providers in Clinic. nbsp;Assists professional staff by performing routine duties in caring for patients./p pstrongEducation, License, Certification:/strong/p pHigh School Diploma or equivalent./p pstrongExperience:nbsp;/strong/p pKnowledge of medical terminology, ability to communicate and excellent customer service skills a must. nbsp;Must be dependable, professional, flexible and able to multi‐task./p pstrongEssential Functions:nbsp;/strong/p ul liInterviews patient to obtain medical history. nbsp;/li liDetermines vital signs, (weight, temperature, blood pressure, etc) and documents in the patient’s medical record./li liAssists provider during exam and treatment./li liDirects patient to examination room and prepares patient for examination and treatment./li liPerforms liaison duties between patients, Providers, hospital staff, etc./li liProcess ancillary reports and all other patient results to the provider for review and assists with patient communication./li liResponsible for greeting patients and updating various pertinent information into the patient’s medical record./li liRoutes patient after exam to proper area for visit completion./li liMay be required to do phlebotomy./li /ul pstrongOther Duties:nbsp;/strong/p ul liAnswers telephones and schedules patient appointments. nbsp;/li liTakes messages of a medical nature (requests for prescription refills, test results, etc). nbsp;/li liPerforms other clerical functions as necessary. nbsp;/li liExhibits good telephone etiquette./li liQuotes patient self‐pay balances at time of scheduling. nbsp;/li liInforms patients of their financial obligations. nbsp;/li liDirects patients to the patient representative for assistance with their account./li liApplies principles of disinfection/sterilization/disease transmission/universal precautions as per clinic and manufacturer guidelines./li liAssists in maintaining appropriate level of supplies./li liAttends and participates in Department meetings, along with contributing to department/office goals./li liBecome familiar with ICD‐9 and CPT coding./li liCleans, stocks, and prepares exam rooms./li liCoordinate patient appointments for X‐ray, CT scans, Physical Therapy, etc. as ordered by the providers. nbsp;/li liAssists with obtaining and processing referral and pre‐certification requirements./li liMaintains confidentiality, respect and consideration of patients and others. nbsp;/li liApplies Guthrie values (patient centeredness, teamwork, excellence) when performing daily tasks./li liMaintains equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and clinic policies and procedures. nbsp;/li liPerforms and documents quality control on equipment as required./li /ul pThe pay ranges from $17.00-$25.16 per hour/ph2Company/h2divp class="MsoNormal"Joining the Guthrie team allows you to become a part of a tradition of excellence in health care.
