Orthopedic Surgery Physician Opening in New MexicoLocation: Alamogordo, NM Full-Time, Permanent PositionPosition Overview: Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join team in Alamogordo, NM. Serving a wide catchment area across rural Southern New Mexico, this high-volume practice provides broad exposure to diverse cases with minimal competition and strong community need.Practice/Position Highlights: Patient volume: approximately 4,000 visits annually High demand across a rural region with limited orthopedic competition Comprehensive surgical services including: - Fracture care and trauma surgery - Arthroscopic procedures for knees, shoulders, and ankles - Sports medicine: ACL reconstructions, tendon repairs - Carpal tunnel and hand surgery - Revision surgeries for joint replacements - Total joint replacements: hip, knee, and shoulder Collaborative environment with physical therapists, pain management specialists, and podiatrists Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery 3 5 years of general orthopedic practice experience preferred Proficiency in joint replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture care required Fellowship training in joint replacement, sports medicine, trauma, or hand/foot and ankle surgery preferred, but not required Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary with productivity incentives Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement CME allowance and paid time off Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus may be available About the Area: Alamogordo, NM offers scenic desert beauty, proximity to White Sands National Park, and a relaxed lifestyle ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.
