We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in a hospital setting near Leland, MI. This position offers flexibility and a great opportunity to contribute to patient care in a supportive environment.

• Location: Near Leland, MI
• Start Date: December 9, 2024
• End Date: Ongoing with scheduled shifts through February 2025
• Shifts: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with night and weekend on-call requirements
• Type: Full-time, temporary locum assignment
• On-Call Requirements: Yes, including night and weekend coverage
• EMR System: Cerner
• Facility Type: Hospital-based outpatient and inpatient services

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (Required)
• Active MI Medical License & CSR (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• DEA Registration (Required)
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of fellowship-trained experience
• Clean Background: No significant malpractice or disciplinary actions
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Required
• Availability: Must be available to commit to shifts and on-call responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology services in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including scopes (average 18 outpatients and 20 inpatient scopes per day)
• Work alongside a supportive team of 2 physicians, 2 APPs, and onsite lab and X-ray services
• Handle both scheduled and emergency cases as needed
• Provide on-call coverage, including night and weekend shifts
• Ensure quality patient care and maintain appropriate documentation in the EMR system

• Hourly Rate: Competitive, commensurate with experience
• Orientation Pay: Half of the hourly rate for training and orientation
• On-Call Pay: Additional compensation for night and weekend call
• Holiday Pay: 1.5x hourly rate for holidays
• Travel & Lodging: Expenses covered within limits (flight, car rental, mileage, hotel)
• No Lodging through 3rd Party Sites: Direct hotel bookings required
• Other Benefits: Malpractice coverage and all necessary travel expenses
