Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Redding, CA

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment near Redding, CA. This opportunity is perfect for physicians seeking an outpatient-only role with no inpatient duties or on-call requirements. Key Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (No Call)
• Practice Setting: Outpatient
• Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Patient Volume: The physician will be expected to see a minimum of 18 patients per day, including a mix of pediatric and adult patients. For Internal Medicine physicians, adult patients only will be considered.
• Chronic Pain Management: Some chronic pain management is included in the scope of care.
• Chart Closure: All charts must be closed within 72 hours of patient encounters to ensure compliance with facility standards.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification: Candidates must be Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Board-Eligible candidates will also be considered if within five years of residency.
• Required Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Licensing Requirements: Candidates must hold an active California medical license. There will be no reimbursement for licensing costs.
• DEA License: An active DEA license is required before the start of the assignment.

• Patient Load: 18 patients per day, minimum.
• Decision Timeline: Typically, a hiring decision is made within 7-14 days after the review of candidate credentials.
