Job Opening: Urologist in Brattleboro, VT

We are actively seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible General Urologist to be part of our collaborative team at a modern facility featuring state-of-the-art surgical suites. This opportunity allows you to provide high-quality care while enjoying a balanced schedule, supportive work environment, and the exceptional quality of life that Vermont has to offer.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive urological care to both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Deliver care in both outpatient clinic settings and inpatient hospital environments.
  • Collaborate with an established urologist and a nurse practitioner within a single-site practice.
  • Perform surgical procedures in new, state-of-the-art operating rooms.
  • Conduct hospital consultations and manage urological emergencies in the emergency department.
  • Participate in a light on-call rotation, covering one hospital site for 7 days per month with a 1:4 call schedule.
  • Avoid involvement in trauma cases or robotic surgeries.
  • Utilize Cerner Community Works for electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Maintain a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Manage an average of patients per day.
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural, community-focused hospital environment.
  • Support departmental succession planning through active engagement and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Candidates with lapsed board certification will be considered if willing to recertify.
  • Open to new graduates.
  • Not open to long-distance commuters or those seeking alternative shift arrangements.
Qualifications:
  • Board certified or board eligible in Urology (required).
  • Clean malpractice history (required).
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active, required).
  • Active Vermont License (must be obtained prior to start, required).
  • Completion of an accredited urology residency program in the United States or Canada (required).
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
  • DEA Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
