Join Our Team as a Urologist in Beautiful Brattleboro, VT!

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) is a community-focused, not-for-profit hospital situated in the scenic southern region of Vermont. We are actively seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible General Urologist to become a vital part of our collaborative team. This unique opportunity allows you to provide high-quality care in a modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art surgical suites, all while enjoying a balanced schedule and the exceptional quality of life that Vermont offers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive urological care to both adult and pediatric patients.
• Deliver care in outpatient clinic settings as well as inpatient hospital settings.
• Collaborate with an established urologist and a nurse practitioner in a single-site practice.
• Perform surgical procedures in new, state-of-the-art operating rooms.
• Conduct hospital consultations and manage urological emergencies in the emergency department.
• Participate in a light on-call rotation, covering one hospital site for 7 days per month with a 1:4 call schedule.
• No involvement in trauma cases or robotic surgeries.
• Utilize Cerner Community Works for electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
• Maintain a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Manage an average of patients per day.
• Support departmental succession planning through active engagement and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for effective diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Consideration for new graduates and candidates with lapsed board certification (if willing to recertify).
• Note: Not open to long-distance commuters or alternative shift arrangements.

Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
• Completion of an accredited urology residency program in the United States or Canada.
• Clean malpractice history.
• Active Vermont License (must be obtained prior to start).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must have passed the certification exam administered by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
• DEA certification.
• BLS certification.
