Family Medicine Physician / Hospitalist opening in central MN.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS On the Outpatient Side (roughly half-time)

• On the Outpatient side
  • Roughly 8 days of clinic, spread over 3 weeks
  • Broad Primary Care Practice
  • Multispecialty Clinic with support from specialists and ancillary services
  • Clinic site has 5 Family Physicians
  • No OB, but prenatal care is an option
  • Telephone call 1:26
  • 16-22 patients per day
  • This position is to prepare for anticipated retirements

• On the Inpatient side
  • Half-time Hospitalists work 1, 7-on shift, per month.
  • Partner with existing Hospitalist Program of both full and half-time providers.
  • Schedule 12 hours shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; rest of the shifts are days.
  • Hospitalists will cover ICU, with consultative intensivist support.
  • Total number of physicians in specialty currently in department at practice site: 7. The practice is fully staffed with 8-9 hospitalists.
  • Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-71 / ICU-10; divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalist, who also share admissions. Average daily census on unit: 50-60

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine
