A healthcare facility near Seligman, Missouri, is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This role offers a balance of inpatient and procedural care with a supportive team in a welcoming environment. Position Details: Start Date: January 6, 2025 End Date: Ongoing (long-term assignment) Schedule: 10 days per month (preferably Wednesday-Sunday rotations) Includes 24-hour call coverage and scheduled procedures during lab hours Call: 1:4 ratio with a 15-minute response time Setting: Primarily outpatient with inpatient procedures Patients Per Shift: Variable Practice Requirements: Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Skills Required: Upper GI Endoscopy (including biopsy, foreign body removal, and varices injection) Colonoscopy and lower GI procedures (including polyp excision) ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic) Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Esophageal manometry interpretation and small bowel biopsy Liver biopsy Hospital Privileges: Must be obtained prior to start (credentialing timeframe 90 days) Facility Highlights: Level II Trauma Center Utilizes EPIC EMR Collaborative environment with support from advanced practice providers Additional Information: Insurance provided by the facility Travel and lodging support available Holiday coverage includes New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, and Christmas Location Perks: Nestled near Seligman, Missouri, this opportunity places you near scenic natural attractions, outdoor activities, and small-town charm.
