A medical facility near Greenville, MO is seeking a dedicated Orthopaedic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team in a well-equipped facility while enjoying flexible scheduling.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing; 1 weekend per month
• Schedule:
  • Coverage needed from Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM.
  • Specific dates are negotiable, with January, February, and March openings.
• Call Type: Beeper call with:
  • Average of 5-10 patients per shift
  • 7 phone consults per 24 hours
  • 2 admissions per 24 hours
  • 20-minute response time for call-backs

Practice Environment:

• Setting: Inpatient only
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• EMR System: Cerner
• Support Staff: No direct supervision required for advanced practice providers or residents.

Patient Care Expectations:

• Ability to manage orthopedic fractures and infections.
• Specialty skills required include:
  • Arthroscopy
  • Total Joint Replacement (Hip and Knee)
  • Joint Revision or Repair
  • Hand and Tendon Surgery

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board-eligible candidates accepted.
• Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for a license in Missouri or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Credentialing: Estimated at 60 days.
