Locum Tenens: Radiation Oncologist (Near Skanee, MI) Are you a dedicated and experienced Radiation Oncologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Skanee, MI? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide comprehensive radiation therapy services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings (ASAP - Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a blend of scheduled clinic hours and predictable call coverage, allowing you to manage your workload effectively while contributing to exceptional patient care. What We Offer: Rewarding & Specialized Practice: Utilize your expertise in Radiation Oncology to develop and deliver personalized treatment plans for a variety of cancer patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll work collaboratively with a supportive team in a well-equipped environment featuring a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator. Schedule Flexibility & Predictable Call: Benefit from a Monday-Friday schedule with clinic hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering a healthy work-life balance. This specific locum tenens opportunity excludes call coverage. Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with a Radiation Oncologist, registered nurses, nurse navigators, dosimetrists, a physicist, therapists, and clerical staff to deliver seamless care for your patients. Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the integrated Aria/Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication. Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and are happy to assist with facilitating temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 30 days minimum). Qualifications: Board-eligible or board-certified in Radiation Oncology is required. Fellowship training is preferred. Active medical license in Michigan (MI) only is mandatory. Current certification in ACLS is essential. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Radiation Oncology setting is preferred. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
