Warehouse and Delivery Driver Associate

Overview:

Johnstone Supply, Inc., a leading HVACR distributor is looking for a warehouse and delivery driver to run local routes throughout the Louisville & Southern Indiana area. Primary job responsibilities will be delivery of parts, equipment and services to customers in the Kentuckiana service area. Complete vehicle circle checks and pre/post inspections on every trip. Ensure proper maintenance and care of delivery vehicles. In addition, other job responsibilities will include receiving and restocking inventory, pulling and staging customer orders. Overtime is required as needed as well as is working at least one Saturday per month. Saturday rotations are year-round. Opportunity to advance to the sales team for the right individual.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Delivery Service

1. Ensure delivery orders are pulled and staged correctly for each day's delivery routes.
2. Run delivery routes as directed in the most efficient and safest manner possible while delivering excellent customer service.
3. Maintain all company delivery vehicles to ensure they are kept in good working order, and that all service records are accurate and up to date.
4. Support warehouse, shipping & receiving duties as necessary.

Shipping & Receiving

1. Support all receiving functions for Corporate and 3rd party deliveries, ensuring that the merchandise received corresponds with purchase orders issued and reconciling any discrepancies.
2. Assist in managing the Hang Out Report to expedite order fulfillment and achieve established Fill Rate goals.
3. Support inventory transfers among stores/branches to ensure they are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Execute delivery of customer orders and merchandise pick up.

General

1. Demonstrate a working knowledge of warehouse operations to effectively fill in for Warehouse manager when unavailable.
2. Take initiative. Be self-directed and complete daily assignments without direct oversight.
