Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring Epic experience, ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

• Position is in a Medical ICU (MICU) within a cancer hospital setting
\n
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
\n
• Common diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis
\n
• Common treatments include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, plasmapheresis, and complex medication regimens
\n
• Many patients have underlying pulmonary and GI conditions requiring bronchoscopy or endoscopy
\n
• Scheduled for night shifts (7p–7:30a), 3x12-hour shifts per week
\n
• Epic EMR experience is required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required
\n
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
\n
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and IV starts required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
\n

• Local candidates are accepted

• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer
\n
• Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more

• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
