American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2-5 years of ED/Critical Care experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

- Emergency Department setting within a hospital, also covering Critical Care patients \n
- Unit is a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center \n
- Emergency Department currently under construction, requiring flexibility with workflow changes \n
- Future unit configuration includes 20 beds, 3 locked behavioral health beds, 2 triage rooms, and 3 medical/psych swing beds \n
- Patient ratios range from 4:1 to 5:1 \n
- Uses standard emergency care equipment \n
- EMR: EPIC \n
- 36-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM \n
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Float policy applies within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed \n

- Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required \n
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIHSS \n
- 2 to 5 years of Emergency Department/Critical Care experience required \n
- Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required \n
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, and communication and documentation skills required \n
- Driver's License required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references required \n

- Provide emergency and critical care nursing to a diverse ED patient population \n
- Collaborate within a team-oriented unit that values flexibility and strong communication \n
- Must wear solid-colored scrubs and maintain professional attire \n
- Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions \n
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract at manager's discretion \n
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this during consideration \n
- Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones is prohibited while on the unit \n
