Join our team in Houston, TX, where you ll be part of a dedicated community of healthcare providers serving our nation's veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role allows for flexible scheduling, and you can either work from a VES facility or your own office, provided it's within proximity to Houston. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans across the country.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams focused primarily on patient interviews.
- Perform physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete and submit examination reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Work on a per-diem basis, with both half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts available.
- Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all patient interactions and assessments.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Active certification from AANP.
- Possess an active and unrestricted full state license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification.
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferable.
- State License: Must be licensed to practice in Alaska (AK).
- Board certified or board eligible status preferred.
