Requirements:
· Minimum 1 year experience with direct responsibility in Environmental, Health and Safety (or)
o Bachelors degree in EHS or related field (or)
o 2 years experience in Leadership/Training role (or)
o 3 years experience in maintenance/technical role
· Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Summary
Under the general direction of the EHS Manager, participates in the development and implementation of environmental, health, safety, security, and regulatory compliance programs. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and standards involving environmental management, chemical control, industrial hygiene, general safety, and fire safety. Reports all workers’ compensation claims against the company. Reviews and analyzes data to suggest ideas for improving the EHS program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Safety Smart Sheet [Add new incidents (with attachments), Close Items (with attachments)]
- Report necessary claims to the workers’ compensation insurance group.
- Participate in monthly Safety Patrol activity (add items to Audit Smart Sheet)
- Run associates to the clinic for post-accident drug screens and coordinate care.
- Participate in incident investigations (help determine Man, Machine, Material, Method)
- Participate in the 4M buy-off for all departments.
- Develop Safety Alerts for all Recordable Injuries
- Develop Safety One Point Lectures (safety training topics) when needed
- Maintain the Safety Commitment spreadsheet and generate reports.
- Maintain the Safety Sam poster for the site (Update weekly-minimum)
- Maintain inventory of First Aid supplies and reorder when needed.
- General First Aid for injuries on shift
- Trainer for First Aid/CPR/AED (must coordinate classes with the certified trainer if not a trainer themselves)
- Generate medical files for all new associates.
- Communicate with security guards when necessary (Both Nissan and Topre sites)
- Communicate with the cleaning crew when necessary (if available)
- On-site drug screens (new hire/random/post-accident)
- Manage annual audiograms/flu shots.
- New equipment inspection to ensure it meets safety standards/requirements.
- Support Onsite activities.
- Travel as needed.
