Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Outpatient Clinic)
Start Date: August 1, 2025

Job Summary:
The Memphis Medical Clinics are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to provide outpatient mental health services to veterans. This role includes work at multiple clinics within a 30-minute radius of Atlanta, GA. The Psychiatrist will collaborate with psychologists and LCSWs to deliver high-quality, comprehensive mental health care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans

• Conduct 1-hour initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits

• Provide psychiatric management and ongoing care for mental health conditions

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain accurate documentation in the CPRS EMR system

• Promote mental wellness and advocate for veteran mental health

Patient Load:

• Approximately 10 patients per day

• 1-hour evaluations for new patients

• 30-minute follow-up sessions

Requirements:

• MD/DO with Psychiatry specialization

• Active clinical experience within the last 6 months

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Any active U.S. state medical license accepted

• U.S. Citizenship required

• CV with explained gaps (last 6 months)

• 3 professional references (names and contact info)

Health Documentation Required:

• MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus (Td), PPD, Flu Vaccination (current)

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Details:

• EMR System: CPRS

• Privileging timeline: 6 weeks
