Reports To: Controller

OVERVIEW:
The Retail Inventory Coordinator (RIC) is responsible for operational metrics, inventory accounting and inventory control, utilizing and coordinating with inventory service companies. RIC is responsible for the accuracy of the inventory in the accounting records for the assigned sites. RIC is a liaison between Accounting, Operations, Pricebook & Merchandising to alert Operations to missing inventory, promote operational efficiencies, enhance information sharing, and facilitate issue resolution.

• Draft SOPs to codify best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Inventory department
• Ensure compliance with the organization's inventory accounting principles, practices & procedures
• Develop and perform effective audits and internal control procedures
• Manage the Physical Inventory Process:
  • Coordinate quarterly audits with inventory service companies
  • Provide weekly communication of audit results to Operations
  • Research inventory variances
  • Review and approve all count adjustments
  • Data entry for missing invoices
  • Provide pricebook files to Inventory Service Companies
• Review daily required audits for accuracy and completion
• Communicate with Managers on inventory anomalies
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Other duties as assigned by the Controller

• Familiarity with the Fuel/Convenience Store Industry preferred
• Two years of retail experience
• Effective team skills
• Effective listening skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to train Operations team for improved efficiency
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; proficient in Excel
• Must possess strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible
• Excellent organizational skills
