This includes diagnostic testing on bodily fluids, organic matter, and chemicals. They use high-specialized equipment to measure and report their findings. Collects samples and safely store biomedical materials and tools./ppstrongESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:/strong/polliReceives specimens from doctors, laboratories, hospitals, or directly from patients, and performs complex quantitative and qualitative analyses to provide information for use in the diagnosis/liliDocuments all quality control and maintains required records/liliTroubleshoot any or all automatic, semi-automatic, or manual equipment within the laboratory and ensure it is in working order/liliPerforms Quality Control and maintenance procedures as required/liliInteracts with and/or performs clinical laboratory procedures on patients of all ages/li/olpstrongRESPONSIBILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:/strong/polliPerform quality control tests in the lab as well as on-site when necessary/liliAssist with testing and calibrating lab equipment in preparation for specific tasks/liliPerform quality control tests on ingredients, completed products and product samples/liliPrepare samples prior to shipping them to outside vendors/liliFollows all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control/liliObtains specimens from clinical laboratory examination directly from any patient of any age, including infants/liliNear visual acuity is required to read detailed instructions and to examine specimens/liliAnalyze retrieved data and prepare reports for laboratory manager/liliPerform any other duties that may be necessary for the operation of the corporation and/or hospital/li/olpRequirements/ppstrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/polliHigh school diploma/liliAssociate degree required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)/liliFive plus years laboratory experience/liliAbility to communicate effectively/li/olpstrongPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:/strong/polliVaried activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting.nbsp;/liliRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient’s manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination./liliRequires standing and walking for extensive periods of time/liliOccasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds./liliRequires corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges/liliRequires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours/liliExposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a hospital and/or clinic environment/li/ol
