This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, patient advocacy, and adherence to regulatory standards within the facility.#xa0;/ppstrongKey Responsibilities/strong/pulliA physician assistant or nurse practitioner who practices in conformance with established criteria, guidelines, and agency procedures. Efforts are directed toward the enhancement of the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals.#xa0;#xa0;/liliProvides health care of a scope, quality, and quantity consistent with agency and policies.#xa0;#xa0;/liliPerforms comprehensive history and physical evaluations, behavioral health care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures for patients as required by client policy, or as required for patient medical complaint.#xa0;/liliCoordinates health care needs of patients including referrals to off-site consultants.#xa0;/liliTakes appropriate infection control actions in accordance with client policy and guidance.#xa0;/liliCompletes all training as required/assigned.#xa0;/liliAttends on-site, regional, and national meetings as required.#xa0;/liliParticipates in the APP Peer Review process.#xa0;/liliProvides direct care to patients via scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visits.#xa0;/liliConsults with the physician / Clinical Director for complex medical and/or psychiatric patients and as required by client policy.#xa0;/liliProvides infirmary care including admission, discharge, and daily rounds for patients that require higher levels of medical care or monitoring.#xa0;/liliWorks within and performs functions as outlined in the client Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Scope of Practice and the Controlled Prescribing Scope of Practice for APPs.#xa0;/liliApplies knowledge of drugs and therapeutics when prescribing medication.#xa0;/liliInterprets diagnostic and laboratory results.#xa0;/liliInterprets Tuberculin skin tests (TSTs) and diagnostic studies, manages Direct Observation Therapy (DOT) for treatment of active or latent tuberculosis.#xa0;/liliAdheres to universal precautions and properly disposes of all sharps.#xa0;/liliMay serve as medical escort of patients as needed, for domestic/overseas travel.#xa0;/liliUtilizes and documents interpretation and/or translation and/or assisted communication services as needed to ensure ability to communicate with patients or others who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) or have a communication disability or impediment.#xa0;/liliMaintains flexibility and adaptability to sudden changes in schedules and work requirements.#xa0;/liliProvides relevant patient health education to patients verbally and/or with handouts.#xa0;/liliDocuments patient care visits in the required health record using required format, in compliance with client policy and guidance.#xa0;/liliMaintains patient confidentiality and confidentiality of medical records.#xa0;/liliCompletes all training as required/assigned.#xa0;/liliServes as Acting Senior Supervisory APP or Acting Regional APP.#xa0;/liliFacilitates and mentors APP onboarding and training.#xa0;/li/ulpstrongThis list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.#xa0;/strong/pstrongQualifications:/strongpstrongBasic Requirements/Certifications:#xa0;#xa0;/strong/pulliMust possess a current, unrestricted licensed by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United States.#xa0;/liliFour 4 years of full-time clinical experience as a PA or NP required or approval of the client#xa0;Medical Director.#xa0;/liliAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).#xa0;/lilistrongPhysician Assistant (PA) -#xa0;/strongulliAn accredited bachelor's or master's degree is required.#xa0;/liliMust have completed a physician assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), national certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).#xa0;/li/ul/lilistrongNurse Practitioner (NP) -/strong#xa0;ulliMust possess a certified advance practice nurse practitioner degree from a graduate school training program approved for this qualifying degree.#xa0;#xa0;/liliNational board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (APRN) or the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC)required.#xa0;/li/ul/liliEmployees shall have at least one year of general experience that demonstrates the following:#xa0;ulliThe ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public.#xa0;#xa0;/liliCapability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations.
