The Assistant is the first person to engage patients and upkeep the back-end of the program. The Optometry Assistant is an important team player in this very unique practice environment that embodies the practice and techniques of integrated medicine, as well as Crossover Health's mission to deliver next generation care.h3/h3p style="text-align:inherit"/ppbbJob Responsibilities/b/b/pullipspanInitiates the eye care experience by greeting patients warmly/span/p/lilipspanEnsures patient history and pre-test data are collected for doctor prior to exam/span/p/lilipspanEstablishes efficient patient flow to minimize patient wait times/span/p/lilipspanOversees daily schedule to maximize appointment access/span/p/lilipspanEnsures clinic areas and instrumentation meet quality compliance standards/span/p/lilipspanMonitors contact lens trials, inventory and orders, to ensure timely delivery to patients/span/p/lilipspanManages insurance authorizations/billing and patient communication/span/p/lilipspanWorks with other medical providers to ensure a seamless patient experience/span/p/lilipspanCommitted to patient satisfaction, providing excellent service and delivering an outstanding eye care experience/span/p/lilipspanPerforms other duties as assigned/span/p/li/ulp/ppbbRequired Qualifications /b/b/pullipspanHigh School graduate and/or completion of vocational training program in healthcare/span/p/lilipspanMinimum 1 year of employment in customer service related position/span/p/lilipspanCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certification./span/p/li/ulp/ppbbPreferred Qualifications/b/b/pullipspan4 Year Degree /span/p/lilipspanProven organizational skills, great interpersonal skills, and ability to work as a key team member/span/p/lilipspanWillingness to work with constantly changing technologies/span/p/li/ulp/ppbbPhysical Job Requirements/b/b/pullipspanMay require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time./span/p/lilipspanOccasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs./span/p/lilipspanManual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination/span/p/lilipspanIncludes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients./span/p/lilipspanRequires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members./span/p/li/ulh3/h3p/pThe base pay range for this position is $23.96 to $31 per hour. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience.
