pbJob Description: /b/ppASM Global /SAVOR, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for A Concessions Barback at the Van Andel Arena, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for Barback#39;s at the Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI./ppThis position is responsible for bar service areas inventory and that these locations are replenished at all times./pp/ppbEssential Duties and Responsibilities/b/pp* Responsible for completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the Bartender./pp* Maintains and stocks adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc./pp* Stock refrigerating units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc./pp* Replenish ice at bar.* Clean and polish bar, counters, shelves, equipment, bar stools, etc./pp* Trash pickup and disposal at bar and bar service areas/pp* Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety/pp* Other Duties may be assigned/pp/ppbEducation and/or Experience:/b/pp* High School Diploma or equivalent desired./pp* 1-2 years#39; experience in food service and/or working in a bar environment./pp/ppbSkills and Abilities:/b/pp* Must be 18 years of age or older/pp* Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest and personal services; this includes guest needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfaction./pp* Performing for people or dealing directly with the public./pp* Good oral communication skills/pp* Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters/pp* Ability to understand orders/pp* Ability to understand information and ideas presented in writing/pp* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English/pp/ppbPhysical Demands/b: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job./pp/ppReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
