The Kitchen Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. The Kitchen Cook must be prepared to work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat and stress in a kitchen environment./pp/ppbuEssential Functions:/u/b/pulliSet up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service/liliPrepare a variety of foods, meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items/liliProperly labels and dates food items for storage/liliStocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period/liliKnows and complies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures/liliUse food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions/liliClose the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations/liliMaintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times. Coolers, and all storage areas/liliAssist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas/liliPerforms additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Executive Chef or Chef/liliPrepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances/liliMake sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately/liliConstantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices/liliReturns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas/liliKeeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked/liliUses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet/liliUnderstand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety/li/ululliAbides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulp/pp/pp/ppbuExperience/Training/Education Requirements:/u/b     /pulliMust be a minimum 18 years of age/liliHighschool Diploma or GED/liliAt least 1-year previous food service experience desired/liliMust be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues/liliWorking knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures/liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills/liliAbility to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions/liliMust be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays/li/ulp/pp/ppbuLicense/Certificate:/u/b/ppServ Safe Certified/ppA valid food handler’s card is required for this position.
