Founded in 1971, we believe that the quality of your health care should not depend on how much money you make, what language you speak or what your health is, strongbecause everyone deserves great care/strong./span/p pspanstrongPosition Summary:/strong/span/p pspanUnder the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, engages in technical aspects of pharmacy practice including, but not limited to, all non-clinical steps of prescriptions filling and immunizations, phone communications, resolution of insurance related issues, resolution of patient care issues, provision of assistance to pharmacists and other healthcare providers, maintenance of records and inventory management. /span/p pspanstrongCompensation is dependent on skills and experience./strong/span/p pspanstrongYour contribution to the team includes: /strong/span/p ul lispanComply with all federal, state and agency regulatory standards as related to pharmacy practice./span/li lispanDispense medicine prescribed to patients according to the instruction/supervision of the Pharmacist Which includes data entry, including insurance input and billing, counting and labeling, and packaging. /span/li lispanProcess third party insurance claims online and obtain prior authorizations, as necessary. Resolve any insurance issues, including rejections./span/li lispanValidate patient eligibility to fill 340B prescriptions when necessary./span/li lispanCommunicate with medical providers, and look up information, through EMR system when necessary./span/li lispanAnswer phone calls from customers and medical providers./span/li lispanCollect co-pays from patients and perform cash register duties at pharmacy counter including end of day pharmacy POS system procedures and ensuring correctness of reports./span/li lispanReturn prescriptions to stock as needed per Pharmacy procedure./span/li lispanAssist MAP Coordinator in processing manufacturer-supplied medications, applications, and contacting patients./span/li lispanOrder, receive and stock medications and supplies from wholesalers and/or distributors; manage medication inventory on daily basis including but not limited to all functions related to expired and outdated products for reverse distribution, inventory management system-Datarithm, DSCSA compliance monitoring system Advasur 360, ensure that all on hand quantities of medication within dispensing software are accurate./span/li lispanFloat to other pharmacy sites as needed./span/li lispanPrepare, administer, and document IM and SQ shots under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. /span/li lispanTransfer non-controlled substance prescriptions between pharmacies either electronically or by fax./span/li lispanMay assist pharmacist on interpretive skills to convey instructions from pharmacist to patient on medication information./span/li lispanMaintain assigned work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition./span/li lispanFacilitate and support established workflows./span/li lispanMay fill and maintain medication in automated dispensing machines.  /span/li lispanMay train patients on how to properly utilize at home devices like blood pressure and blood glucose monitors./span/li lispanAttend staff meetings, in-service meetings and any other meetings or trainings as required./span/li /ul pspanstrongMust have’s you’ll need to be successful:/strong/span/p ul lispanPharmacy Technician Certification from accredited pharmacy technician program./span/li lispanCompletion of appropriate Technician Immunization Training Program: HealthPoint will provide training after hire if needed; such training must be completed after the first 90 days but before 120 days of employment./span/li lispanMaintain current registration/licensure with Washington State as an accredited Pharmacy Technician./span/li lispanCompletion of Technician Immunization Training Program: appropriateness of training will be assessed by upon hire; training will be provided by HealthPoint if needed./span/li lispanPossess intermediate to advanced operating knowledge of computers./span/li lispanAbility to learn and operate pharmacy dispensing software and EMR system./span/li lispanKnowledge of processing prescriptions including problem-solving third-party issues./span/li /ul pspanstrongProof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.  spanHealthPoint does not accept the Johnson amp; Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination.  If you have received the Johnson amp; Johnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series.  /spanAll new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer.
